This new concept in ERGObaby Carriers is sure to be a best-seller. The ERGOsport is the same brilliant carry features as the standard Ergo (carry your child comfortably in either front, side or back carry) but:
• Made of a blend of 35% cotton and 65% polyester, the lighter, more-breathable fabric provides a slight wicking feature to help keep babywearers more comfortable.
• The carrier's body features a vent to provide extra breathability, keeping both baby and parent cooler.
• The waist belt can extend an additional 10 cm further than our Standard or Organic carriers, and the shoulder straps can extend an extra 12cm, providing comfortable fit for babywearers of all sizes
Belly Beyond is an authorised Ergo Baby Carrier Provider.
What makes the Ergo Baby Carrier different?
It is a soft' carrier - without a frame - that disperses the weight of the baby evenly between the parent's hips and shoulders (like a framed backpack carrier but without the bulk).
Unlike a framed backpack carrier, which sits the baby away from the parent's body and throws the parent's equilibrium off, The Ergo hugs the baby close to the parent's torso and makes it easier for a parent or carer to manoeuvre.
Wear 3 ways - Front, hip or back carry
In The ERGO, the baby sits in a pouch created by the body of the carrier; in many other carriers the baby hangs by the crotch. This distinction between 'sitting' and 'hanging' is significant because when the baby is in a seated position the weight of the head is dispersed between the spine, hips and thighs, causing less compression of the spine than if the baby were hanging in a carrier.
The ergonomic design supports a correct sitting position for baby's physical development and eliminates compression on baby's spine.
The ERGO's wide shoulder straps and waist belt distribute baby's weight evenly, alleviating physical strain for parents. Baby's weight is drawn in towards parent's centre of gravity, making the baby feel lighter.
A specially padded and shaped cushion that fits into the baby carrier worn on the front. Recommended use from newborn to 4 - 5 months depending on the growth of your baby.
ERGO offers continued support when a baby sling or front carrier is no longer comfortable. It is lighter and more secure than a hard-frame baby back-pack.
The ERGO Baby Carriers come with a detailed instructional booklet including illustrations and the instructional DVD chapters are available online.

I purchased this baby carrier and have used it with my 1 year old... it is so easy to use and he loves sitting up high on my back! He gets to look over my shoulder and its great for when he is sleeping too as i use the sleeping hood and his head is fully supported! Would highly recommend and it is money well spent! What a bargain also getting a free infant insert - will be able to use it for our second baby!!!

I dont know where I would be without my Ergo. It is the best carrier I own (and I own a few) I use it at least twice a day and have done since my youngest was 2 days old. My 5yo even enjoys a ride in the Ergo! It's amazing! Highly recommended!

Hi, I started using the carrier when my baby was about 4mths old. He is now 6mths.At first I found the carrier comfortable but, as I am breast feeding and a large breasted lady, I found that the straps put pressure on my breasts and caused pain and blocked milk ducts whenever I wore it. This has been very disappointing although I'm sure it will be great for my husband to use when the baby is older.
COMMENT FROM BELLY BEYOND: Hi Jackie, really sorry you've not had a positive experience with the Ergo. I'm large breasted myself (G cup) and use my Ergo every day , even with the infant insert, so know that there is plenty of room and it is an ideal carrier for large breasted Mums too.
Our rule of thumb with the Ergo is that if it feels uncomfortable, you aren't wearing it right! We would love to help you get back on track, so please call us for a one on one consult. Sometimes it's just a little tug here and a release the strap a little there, and you are away so we encourage you to have a play with the straps to get the perfect fit on you. If you are in Auckland we can help you in person. Hope to hear from you soon!

This is the best baby carrier I have purchased. I still use it with a large 18 month old who loves climbing on my back. People question how you can still carry them, but honestly the weight is distributed so well it is just like you are piggy backing them you know that comfy spot. And arms free is so handy to deal with the other children. Also keeps our son up high so he can look down on the school kids at school rather them being all in his face in a pram. Highly recommend you will not regret it!
IN STOCK: same day dispatch likely if you order week days before 2pm
