Belly Beyond Comment: The Nature's Sway Baby Hammock was my very favourite baby item purchase. As a newborn, my daughter slept mostly in the hammock and as she grew we used the hammock for day sleeps right up until she was fifteen months old (by that stage we hung it about 1 foot off the floor!). We took the Hammock away to Australia and to Waiheke (above) and there was no issue with sleep because she was in her familiar bed. My son also spent a lot of time in the hammock and loved being gently bounced to sleep.

We used the hammock for our daughter until she was 5 months old - by then I found she kept herself awake by moving too much - rather than gently rocking herself to sleep. She also needed to get used to a cot, as she had to go to daycare where they wouldn't allow the hamock.
I would have loved to use it for longer as it really helped getting her to sleep during the first months and it is so easy to take everywhere - our daughter sometimes slept in the wardrobe (of course with open doors), because that was the only place we could find a spot to hang the hammock when travelling :-)

My daughter would only sleep upright on me, with constant motion, during the day until I got the Natures Sway hammock when she was almost 4 months old. She had terrible silent reflux and the hammock was a cosy, comforting environment for her to sleep in. It also helped with catnapping as we culd gently rock her back to sleep (or at least try to...). She is still in there at almost 7 months. The wool mattress means baby stays lovely and warm (we have used it mostly through winter). Highly recommend.

I loved the Nature's Sway baby hammock when my son was small, we had it right beside the bed so it was easy to get him in and out and he was always near us. It was easy to rock the hammock to settle hmi back to sleep while lying down. I don't know how we would have survived without the hammock! At 9 months our son is a very calm sleeper, he doesn't roll around the cot at all, and I think this is because he spent his first few months sleeping in the hammock.
The only problem I did find with the hammock is that it holds the temperature in, so it can get very hot in summer and I have been told it is quite cold in winter, so this is just something to keep in mind, make sure you have a warm room in winter and a fan handy in summer.
All in all, a fantastic product!
