COMMENT FROM BELLY BEYOND: Hi Janice, sorry to hear your experience, we've found Purelan to far exceed any other cream in terms of prevention of cracked and sore nipples and that you do not have to wipe it off prior to nursing is really helpful! If your nipples were cracked we recommend using Medela Hydrogel Pads first because they assist healing.
Regarding PawPaw ointment, we agree that it's amazing stuff. Take care thought as some PawPaw balms contain petrochemicals (that's what the smell is!) so use an organic brand like Suvana PawPaw if you are using it on your nipples.

A bit disspointed because I thought Medela is a good brand. I don't quite like this nipple cream because the cream is quite dry and not moist enough and when I apply on my sore nipples, it hurts because its not gentle enough on the skin and took some time to gain relief. I'm currently using another brand - paw paw which is fantastic and gives me instant relief every time.

I used this in hospital and for the first few days when I established breastfeeding as my nipples got really sore. Just put it on after a feed and it relieves the pain instantly. Highly recommended. Luckily I only needed it for a few days - so still something left for #2,.
